Promoting Sports

Promoting Sports

Sports such as basketball and elite athletic training are important for the maintenance of healthy bones, building muscles and strengthening of joints. They play a role in the improvement of one’s ability to control depression and feelings of anxiety. In addition, they discourage healthy behaviors by avoiding drug and alcohol use. They bring beneficial competition, teach ambition, morality, and integrity. They are also amusing and trigger happiness for the players. These games offer a sense of hope and amazements that motivates us to handle the daily obstacles and challenges. Sports help burn excessive calories in the body, thus, facilitates the reduction of obesity cases in the U.S. Today, the current rates of obesity are too high and pose a great risk to the health of Americans.

Basketball and elite athletic training can be promoted and preserved through the creation of awareness about their benefits in the elimination of sedentary lifestyles and the reduction of obesity. It is important to let the public understand that many deaths are contributed by physical inactivity (Fort-Vanmeerhaeghe, Montalvo, Latinjak & Unnithan, 2016). Basketball and elite athletic training can help improve the overall health in the community through increasing physical activity.

Sports participation can be preserved and promoted in the U.S through increasing recreational centers and playing grounds. Increasing playing grounds for elite athletic training and basketball would encourage many people to participate. Facilities should also be provided to support the sport. To promote basketball, it is important to provide all the items required in the field.

It is important to facilitate the creation of a playing culture where everyone is encouraged to engage in regular exercises. This can become possible through allocating time for sports in schools. The curriculum should consider sports and ensure that all students are provided with all the required items. In addition, the school should provide a trained instructor to assist the student in the field (Dehghansai, Lemez, Wattie & Baker, 2017). The instructor can enable students to follow the right procedures when engaging in sports.

It is great for people to explore new opportunities and involve as many students as possible in schools. To make basketball and elite athletic training viable options, it is necessary to make an effort to address parents’ concerns regarding the physical nature of sports (Benis, Bonato & Torre, 2016). Efforts should be made to ensure that more people are motivated to participate and join sports programs since they can extend many benefits to them. The negative debates and perceptions should be eliminated to influence more people to develop a sporting culture.

Eliminating problems affecting and hindering people from participating in sports can help promote and encourage participation in sports. For instance, injuries that suffered during and after playing basketball and elite athletic training should be minimized. Participants should be advised on the best methods of managing injuries whenever they occur. Injuries are one of the greatest reasons obstructing people from participating in sports. Therefore, players should be trained on how basketball and elite athletic training should be done. This would motivate many people to participate, and in the process play a role in the reduction of sedentary lifestyle and obesity. As noted in 2 Timothy 2:5, “An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules,” effort must be made to improve the health of the Americans. The passage explains that every achievement requires an effort to be realized. This shows that eliminating inactive lifestyles and promoting sports requires efforts from everyone.
